Rayong Police Close Three Serious Crime Cases, Including a Murder and Attempted Murder in Just Two Days
Rayong: Pluak Daeng investigators have closed three serious crime cases in just two days after a rapid manhunt that relied on physical evidence, CCTV footage, and coordination with police in neighboring provinces, bringing all suspects into custody.
Rayong police said the investigation team at Pluak Daeng Police Station moved quickly after each incident, gathering evidence, analyzing data, tracking escape routes and working with officers outside the district until every suspect was arrested and handed over to investigators.
The first case began on the 14th of September 2026, when a knife attack in Fah Sai Village in the Pluak Daeng Subdistrict left Ms. Jintara seriously wounded. She later tragically passed away from her wounds. Investigators identified a Mr. Ronnachai as the suspect and learned he had fled toward Chanthaburi in a white four-door Isuzu D-Max registered ขท-776 Rayong. Officers coordinated with the Investigation Division of Chanthaburi Provincial Police and arrested him at an unnumbered rental room in the Saton Subdistrict of Chanthaburi, before transferring him to Pluak Daeng Police Station.
On the 15th of September at about 9:00 a.m., a shooting left Ms. Priya, 35, injured. Police identified the gunman as her older brother, Mr. Prayong, 52, and said the dispute stemmed from an unpaid debt. Officers found him at a home in Pluak Daeng Subdistrict, seized a firearm and sent him to investigators.
Later the same day, at about 1:00 p.m., another shooting left at least one person injured. Two suspects were named: Mr. Jirawat and Mr. Anucha. CCTV footage along the escape route led police to Mr. Jirawat at a rental room in Mae Nam Khu Subdistrict. Investigators then coordinated with Investigation Division Bureau 2 and arrested Mr. Anucha at Muean Fan Resort in the Plaeng Yao Subdistrict of Chachoengsao.
Police said the operations followed the same pattern in each case: Officers examined the scene, collected and analyzed evidence, reviewed CCTV and immediately sought help from other units when suspects left the area. All three cases were resolved within two days, which officials described as a sign of persistence, careful analysis and coordinated policing set at bringing the accused before the courts and reassuring the public.
